Role: Creative Learning Team Performer

Team: Healthy Communities

Employment: Casual

Reports to: Creative Learning Team Coordinator

Salary: $43.22 - $47.16 per hour (inclusive of 25% loading)

Your creativity can do more than entertain. It can change lives.

You know that the best learning doesn't happen through a lecture.

It happens when people laugh.

When they're surprised.

When they see themselves in a story.

When they leave thinking differently than when they arrived.

You love performing, connecting with people and bringing ideas to life.

You believe creativity can start conversations, build confidence, and make a real difference in people's health and wellbeing.

If that sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you.

About the role

As part of Ballarat Community Health's Health Promotion Team, you'll use performance, storytelling and creativity to deliver engaging educational programs that promote health and wellbeing across our community.

Working alongside our Healthy Communities Coordinator and Creative Learning Team Coordinator, you'll perform in schools, community settings and other venues, helping people learn through interactive performances, workshops and creative experiences.

This is a casual position based at Lucas, with availability required on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Every performance is an opportunity to spark conversations, build understanding and create healthier, more connected communities.

What you'll bring

You don't need to tick every box, but you'll likely bring:

- A genuine passion for improving community health and wellbeing through creative, engaging experiences.

- Experience in performing arts, drama, theatre or creative storytelling, ideally in educational or community settings.
- Confidence engaging with people of all ages and backgrounds.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills that help people feel comfortable and included.
- The ability to work independently while being a supportive and collaborative team member.
- Great organisation, reliability and the flexibility to adapt to different audiences and environments.
- A genuine alignment with Ballarat Community Health's values and commitment to creating healthy communities.
