Our client is a leading manufacturer and supplier in the industrial battery industry. They are seeking a Maintenance Technician to join their team for upcoming projects.
About the Role:
- Casual position with the opportunity for ongoing work on projects across Melbourne, supporting the lead engineer with installations and services across multiple warehouses.
- Duties for the position can range based on the customer’s/project needs, please see below:
Electronics – Includes cabling, installing low-voltage monitors on chargers and batteries, and inputting simple instructions into a control PC.
Mechanical - Oil changes, greasing bearings, fault finding, basic faults under guidance, etc.
Installations - Operating impact and hammer drills, as well as assembly of racking systems.
- Scheduled machine repair
- Battery room building, including installation of a battery management system
- Unloading,
assembly and installation of a battery changer
- Regularly scheduled system services
To be considered for the position:
- Must have a driver’s license and reliable transport
- Current LF forklift license
- Comfortable operating a scissor lift
- Must be punctual with solid written and verbal communication skills
- Clear National Police Check
- Have a background in Fabrication, Mechanics, Maintenance or Handyman
- Flexible availability
