Mental Health Support Worker Required – Mornington

Assist Support Services is seeking an experienced and compassionate Mental Health Support Worker to provide support to an NDIS participant in the Mornington area.

Available shifts:

- Monday: 10:30am – 1:30pm
- Wednesday: 11:00am – 2:00pm
- Friday: 11:00am – 2:00pm
- Sunday: 1:00pm – 4:00pm

About the role:This role requires a support worker who is confident supporting a participant with mental health needs and who can build a positive, respectful working relationship.

The successful applicant will have:

- Mental health support experience and training
- The ability to remain calm, professional, and consistent in challenging situations
- Robust communication skills and emotional resilience
- The ability to maintain professional boundaries while providing person-centred support
- Confidence supporting a participant who may express frustration, heightened emotions, or strong opinions




- A non-judgemental and compassionate approach

This role would suit a support worker who understands that behaviours are communication and can respond with patience, understanding, and professionalism.

Requirements:

- Certificate III/IV in Individual Support, Mental Health, or equivalent experience
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Working With Children Check
- Current First Aid & CPR
- Reliable transport and availability for the above shifts
