About the role

We are seeking a talented Trade Marks Senior Associate (5+ PQE) to join our well respected and successful IP / TMT practice in our Sydney office.

In this role you will work closely with Elizabeth Ireland, providing strategic advice on trade marks, copyright, designs, domain names and business names, and support clients across advisory, contentious, transactional and regulatory IP matters. You will be engaged in engaging and high quality work advising our clients across the brand and product lifecycle. Other streams of work include acting in matters before the Trade Marks Office, preparing IP licences and agreements, intellectual property aspects of corporate and finance transactions, marketing and advertising advice and reviews as well as food and product regulatory matters. You will be joining a diverse, friendly and collegiate team with a proven track record for advancing career progression.

About You

The successful candidate will have experience in the Trade Mark space, including the management of international trade mark portfolios, ideally gained within a specialised IP / TMT practice. You will need strong commercial acumen, exceptional drafting skills, and an eye for detail. You will invest time and effort in understanding the clients’ issues and take responsibility for ensuring their needs are consistently met.
