Salary: $79,500 – $80,000 per annum + Superannuation
We are seeking a full-time, ongoing Metal Fabricator to perform fabrication, assembly and related metalwork duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, plans and specifications.
- Measuring, marking, cutting, shaping and assembling metal components.
- Determining materials, fabrication methods and work sequences.
- Operating fabrication equipment, machinery and hand tools.
- Fabricating and fitting metal parts and structural components to specification.
- Checking fabricated components for accuracy, alignment and quality.
- Performing welding, grinding, finishing and assembly work where required.
- Identifying and rectifying fabrication issues.
- Maintaining tools, equipment and a safe work area.
- Working with supervisors and other tradespeople to complete work safely and efficiently.
Skills & Experience
- Relevant trade qualification or equivalent industry experience.
- Experience in metal fabrication, structural steel or general engineering.
- Ability to read technical drawings.
- Robust attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to workplace health and safety.
- Current driver’s licence preferred.
Employment Terms
- Full-time ongoing position.
- Standard full-time hours, with overtime available where required.
