URGENT HIRING

We are seeking a compassionate, proactive, and engaging Disability Support Worker to join a support team in Ryde NSW 2112.

This opportunity is ideal for support workers seeking extra shifts to complement their existing schedule.

This role is to support the participant to access the community, build confidence, and participate in meaningful activities while promoting independence, safety, and wellbeing.

About The Role:

- Providing support to a female participant.
- Assisting with community access (must be driving) and participation in activities.
- Providing support while walking (1:1 assistance) and using a wheelchair when required.
- Encouraging social engagement, conversation, and confidence building.
- Supporting safe routines and promoting independence.
- Support workers must be mindful of health and safety risks, including falls and immunocompromised considerations.

About You:

- Female (participant's preference).
- Experience supporting participants with Autism or complex health needs.
- Able to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with families and support teams.
- Reliable and committed to providing consistent support.
- Caring and patient.
- Proactive approach and can take initiative.
- Confident supporting mobility needs.

Shifts Available (Ongoing):

- Monday 9:30am-12:30pm.
- Thursday 9am-12pm.
- Friday 9:30am-12:30pm.

Additional shifts may be available in the future, subject to needs and roster availability.

What We’re Looking For:

- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Disability Support Worker.
- Experience with other high-care skills is highly regarded.
- Ability to provide personal care, domestic assistance, and social support.
- Proactive approach to supporting clients to achieve goals and maintain community connections.
- Strong English communication skills.




- Physically capable of supporting regular outings and activities.

What You'll Be Doing:

- Providing support with domestic assistance and household tasks.
- Supporting community access and participation.
- Assisting the participant to maintain independence in their daily routine.
- Building positive relationships with the participant and their support network.
- Working collaboratively with family members and the broader care team.
- Providing practical support tailored to the participant’s individual needs.
- Following care plans and maintaining accurate documentation.

Compliance Requirements:

- NDIS Workers Screening Check (Service NSW).
- Valid First Aid & CPR Certificate.
- Working with Children Check (WWCC).
- Full Australian driver’s licence and own car.
- Comprehensive car insurance.
