AssetProjects is seeking an experienced Site Foreman to join our growing team delivering refurbishment projects across Independent Living Units (ILUs) and Residential Aged Care (RAC) facilities.

This is a hands-on role where you'll combine your trade expertise with site supervision, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule and to the highest quality standards. You'll work across multiple active sites, supporting subcontractors, coordinating trades and completing key carpentry and finishing works. This role is based in Newcastle, NSW.

About the role

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you'll be responsible for supervising subcontractors while also completing hands-on carpentry works across multiple active projects.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Supervising subcontractors and coordinating daily site activities.
- Conducting hold-point inspections alongside the Client Operations Manager.
- Ensuring works comply with drawings, specifications and quality standards.
- Maintaining safe, clean and compliant construction sites.
- Conducting pre-starts and ensuring SWMS and PPE compliance.
- Using SafetyCulture to complete site safety inspections.
- Capturing photographic records of completed works.
- Identifying site issues,



variations and safety risks and escalating where required.
- Working respectfully within live aged care environments.

About you

To be successful you'll bring:

- Trade qualification in Carpentry or a related building trade.
- Demonstrated experience as a Site Foreman, Leading Hand or Senior Carpenter.
- Strong residential refurbishment or fit-out experience.
- Excellent understanding of construction sequencing and subcontractor management.
- A proactive approach to safety, quality and client service.
- Confidence using smartphones and apps for reporting and communication.
- The ability to work independently across multiple sites.

Essential requirements

- Current White Card.
- Current Australian Driver's Licence.
- Current First Aid & CPR (or willingness to obtain).
- National Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
- Annual Influenza Vaccination (required for aged care sites).
- Asbestos Awareness Training (or willingness to obtain).

Highly regarded:

- Certificate IV in Building & Construction Management.
