Dromana Early Learning Centre and Kindergarten is based in Dromana, VIC. Owned and operated by the same local family since 1997, our centre has deep roots in the community. With a strong foundation in education, our Proprietor is dedicated to creating the ideal environment for each child’s learning journey, ensuring they receive the very best start in life. Currently, there is a vacancy for a full time Early Childhood Pre-Primary Teacher in the centre.
An Early Childhood Pre-Primary Teacher is responsible for planning and delivering educational programs that support the learning, development, health, and wellbeing of children, generally aged 3–5 years, before they commence primary school.
Key Responsibilities:
- Planning and implementing developmentally appropriate, play-based learning programs in accordance with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and the approved curriculum.
- Creating a safe, inclusive, stimulating, and nurturing learning environment that promotes children's physical, cognitive, emotional, social, and language development.
- Observing, assessing, and documenting children's learning, development, and progress using a range of assessment methods.
- Developing individual learning plans to meet the diverse needs and abilities of children.
- Encouraging children's creativity, curiosity, independence, confidence, and problem-solving skills through structured and unstructured learning experiences.
- Supporting children's emotional wellbeing, social development, and positive behaviour using appropriate guidance strategies.
- Building positive relationships with children, families, colleagues, and external professionals.
- Communicating regularly with parents and carers regarding children's learning, development, and wellbeing.
- Ensuring compliance with the Education and Care Services National Law, National Regulations, National Quality Standard (NQS), child protection requirements, and workplace health and safety policies.
- Maintaining accurate records, reports, portfolios, attendance records, and developmental assessments.
- Participating in staff meetings, professional development, curriculum planning, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Supervising children during indoor and outdoor activities while ensuring their safety and wellbeing.
- Collaborating with educators and support staff to deliver high-quality educational programs.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Bachelor of Early Childhood Education or a recognised Graduate Diploma in Early Childhood Education.
- Teacher registration (where required)
- Working with Children Check
- First Aid/CPR certification, and knowledge of the EYLF, NQS, and child protection requirements.
- Relevant experience of 1 year in similar role.
Salary - $78,000 - $82,000 Plus super.

Pay: $78,000.00 – $82,000.00 per year
