Food Coordinator (Childcare)

Tenth Avenue Childcare has an exciting chance for a Part Time Cook / Food Coordinator to join our team.

Our small Centre is licensed for a total of just 38 children and regularly receives praise for the fantastic feeling within it - operating within a renovated, light and bright character home with wonderful outdoor spaces, situated within a quiet suburban street.

We are looking for a Cook / Food Coordinator who:

- has experience performing this role within in a childcare service;
- can successfully manage our Food Safety Plan which is audited by the local council and external food safety consultants.
- is responsible for managing all diets including: fussy eaters, cultural & religious requirements, intollerances and allergies
- will prepare 4-meals per day (Breakfast, Lunch, Afternoon Tea, Late Snack)
- can work part-time, 3-days per week, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, 7:30am to 11:30am

Training & Certifications:

- A Certificate/Diploma in Commercial Cookery/Kitchen Management is highly desirable
- Food Safety Supervisor Training essential




- Working with Children Check is essential

You will share this role with another Cook with 13 years experience in our service (who will provide advice and support). Pay and conditions are negotiable, we pay attractive, above award rates along with a Government Worker Retention Payment.
