About the Role

We’re seeking a skilled A-Grade Electrician with SAA Solar & Battery accreditation to join our installation team.
This is a hands-on role working under our Electrical Supervisor, with a strong focus on quality, safety, and professional workmanship.

You’ll be responsible for delivering high-standard solar and battery installations, commissioning systems, supporting apprentices, and ensuring work meets all regulatory, technical, and safety requirements. This position suits someone who takes pride in their craft and enjoys working in a well-structured, supportive team setting.

Key Responsibilities

- Complete residential and commercial solar & battery installations
- Carry out AC/DC wiring,



switchboard upgrades, and commissioning
- Ensure all work complies with relevant standards (AS/NZS) and ESV requirements
- Work collaboratively with the Electrical Supervisor and installation teams
- Provide on-site guidance and support to apprentices when required
- Maintain protected work practices and adhere to company safety procedures
- Deliver quality workmanship and uphold Island Energy’s service standards

About You

- Current A-Grade Electrical Licence (ESV) – essential
- SAA Solar & Battery accreditation – essential (CEC not required)
- Experience in solar and/or battery installations
- Strong knowledge of AS/NZS standards and electrical safety requirements
- Reliable, organised, and able to work independently within a team structure
- Good communication skills and a professional, customer-focused approach
- Valid driver’s licence and full working rights in Australia
