The Senior Technician – Mechanical Maintenance of Machinery & Static Equipment will be responsible for the repair, maintenance, troubleshooting and upkeep of machinery and static mechanical equipment used in the Ammonia, Urea, Production handling, Offsites & Utilities, and Steam & Power Generation plants of Perdaman’s fertilizer complex. This includes turbines, compressors, pumps, boilers, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, fans, reclaimer, conveyor systems and other equipment vital to plant operations.

As a mechanical maintenance technician, you are required to perform day-to-day mechanical maintenance activities ensuring high operational availability, efficiency and reliability with minimum downtime. You will ensure that all equipment are maintained in accordance with the industry standards and established maintenance practices, safety regulations and manufacturer specifications.

Education/ Experience Requirements:

· Diploma / TAFE in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Technology,



or related field.

· Additional certifications or training in specialized mechanical maintenance (e.g., vibration analysis, pump maintenance, machinery alignment, welding, NDT, etc.) are an advantage.

· At least 12 - 16 years of hands-on experience in mechanical maintenance, with a focus on rotating and static equipment in a continuous process industry, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the fertilizer, chemical, or petrochemical industries.

· Proven experience of working with a wide range of mechanical systems, including compressors, turbines, boilers, pumps, pressure vessels, and heat exchangers.

· Experience of working in a Urea Granulation plant, product handling and conveyor system is an added advantage.

· Familiarity with Condition Monitoring Systems (CMS) and Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methods is a plus.

· Hands on experience on Computerised Maintenance Management System
