As a Shipyard Electrician, you will play a key role in the installation, maintenance, testing, and commissioning of maritime power, propulsion, navigation, and communication systems. This is an prospect to apply your trade skills to challenging, meaningful projects while building a long-term career in a growing industry.

Key Accountabilities:
Installation & Repair:
Install, connect, maintain, and repair electrical systems, heavy machinery, switchboards, control systems, and communication equipment onboard vessels.
Technical Interpretation:
Read and interpret complex electrical schematics, technical drawings,
and blueprints to ensure accurate and compliant installations.
Troubleshooting & Fault Finding:
Diagnose and resolve electrical faults efficiently, often within confined spaces and challenging shipyard environments.
Safety & Compliance:
Maintain the highest safety standards by completing Take 5 assessments, following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and ensuring all work complies with relevant maritime and electrical regulations.
Essential Requirements:
- Relevant trade qualification (such as Certificate III in Electrotechnology).
- Current unrestricted electrical licence.
- A nationally accredited OHS Card (White Card).
- Strong fault-finding skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment .
- Previous experience in heavy industrial, shipyard, marine, defence, offshore, or similar environments is highly desirable.
