CHEAD CHEF WANTED – CHABELA, THORNBURY

Chabela is looking for an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our kitchen team and play a key role in the continued growth of the restaurant.

We are a vibrant Mexican restaurant in Thornbury, known for authentic flavours, quality ingredients and a menu featuring tacos, huaraches, grilled dishes and traditional Mexican-inspired specialties.

As Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day kitchen operations, maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation, leading and training the kitchen team, managing stock and suppliers, controlling food costs and ensuring all food safety and hygiene requirements are consistently followed.

We are looking for someone who has:

- Previous experience as a Head Chef, Sous Chef or in a senior kitchen leadership role
- Solid knowledge of Mexican cuisine and grill cooking
- Excellent leadership, communication and team management skills




- Experience with rostering, ordering, stock control and food cost management
- The ability to maintain consistency and quality in a busy restaurant setting
- A strong understanding of food safety, kitchen procedures and workplace standards
- A creative approach to menu development and seasonal specials
- A positive attitude and genuine passion for hospitality

This is a full-time position based in Thornbury. Salary will be discussed based on experience.
