About the Role

The Workshop Supervisor – Pre Delivery (PD) is responsible for the direction of a team of workshop-based technicians and apprentice/s who are charged with the responsibility of providing a complete pre-delivery service to the Sales Department. In addition, the incumbent must ensure that the Workshop Technicians meet the pre-delivery task times and delivery targets set by the company.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

- Maintain accurate Pre Delivery (PD) forecast schedules in conjunction with the National Service Manager and Sales Administration Dept.
- Ensure all work associated with the Modifications Department is completed within deadlines as directed by the National Service Manager.
- Ensure all PD consumables stock levels are-maintained at all times.
- Supervise Workshop PDI Technicians and Fabrication department to ensure the work allocated is complete in accordance with TMHA’s quality standards and the expectation of the customer.

- Conduct daily workshop inspections with team leaders and ensure the workshop is managed in the required standard of 5S and in line with our safety policies and procedures.
- Guide and lead workshop employees including technical support to ensure engagement and motivation.
- Work with the PDI Team leader to ensure and complete Quality Assurance checks are performed on unit before they are delivered to customers. Review and check fabricated elements are in line with standards and procedures

Skills & Experience

- Relevant trade qualification (Forklift Mechanic, Automotive Electrician/Light Vehicle Mechanic, Heavy Vehicle, Plant, Diesel Mechanic)
- Cert III in leadership and management desirable
- Previous experience supervising/managing a medium size team.
- Previous experience in a similar industry.
- Experience in mentoring and guiding teams and apprentices to motivate and achieve outcomes




- Excellent communicational and interpersonal skills.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Office applications.
- Self-motivated
- Strong work ethic
