The Role

BEST is continuing to grow and continuing to evolve, so we are now looking for two highly organised Support Workers who have incredible attention to detail and the ability to take initiative to fill our Slacks Creek Team Leader role!

Your Duties

First and foremost you will be a phenomenal Support Worker who can provide guidance and support to your peers.

Your day-to-day tasks will include but are not limited to:
Managing the Daily Briefing and assigning the Member to Mentor allocations

Completing quarterly reports

Appropriate management up-lining

Updating profiles for newly enrolled members

Ad hoc administrative tasks including printing, laminating, and binding

Ensuring programs start and finish on time according to the new timetable

Providing support to Mentors and providing clarity on BEST processes and systems such as Daily Recap writing, incident reporting, etc.

Your Skills

Be a self-starter: We need people who will take initiative and who can problem-solve on their feet

Have a keen attention to detail: You have a visceral reaction to seeing a typo and you will notice if something is not exactly right

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment: No seriously, we’re constantly on the move whether that be on campus or at parks, shops, and more!

Be a jack-of-all-trades: Diverse backgrounds and skills are key to ensuring our Members have exposure to a wide range of experiences, so be sure to let us know of any of your weird, wacky, and wonderful areas of interest.

A compassionate personality: You must be a patient, kind, and caring person as we will not accept anything less

Be and have fun: We want all of our staff and Members to love coming to BEST, so being someone who doesn’t take themselves too seriously is essential (singing and dancing badly is encouraged)

QLD Police Check

Completed First Aid/CPR Certificate

Completed NDIS Worker Orientation

Current Driver's License
