Join Our Team!

An exciting opportunity is available for a Permanent Part-Time CSSD Technician to join our friendly and supportive Central Sterilising Services Department (CSSD). Working as part of our CSSD team, you'll play a vital role in supporting safe patient care by ensuring reusable medical devices and surgical instruments are cleaned, inspected, sterilised, and available when needed. Our department provides sterilisation services across multiple Ramsay hospital sites, making this an essential role within our surgical services.

Key Responsibilities

- Reprocess reusable medical devices through decontamination, inspection, packing, sterilisation, and dispatch
- Work collaboratively with your team to ensure surgical instruments and equipment are available to meet theatre and hospital requirements
- Maintain high standards of quality, safety, and infection prevention
- Perform manual handling tasks, including lifting instrument trays, pushing trolleys, and standing for extended periods throughout your shift
- Transport surgical instruments and equipment between Ramsay hospital sites when required

Roster

This role is permanent part-time working 64 hours per fortnight.





The successful candidate will be required to work a rotating 7-day roster with afternoon and evening shifts. Typical shift finish times are either 11:30 pm or 1:30am.

- A commitment to quality, patient safety, and infection prevention
- A current Queensland Driver Licence (essential)
- Availability to work a rotating 7-day roster, including afternoon and evening shifts
