Personal Care Assistant

Some of the primary responsibilities are:

- To assist the residents to live a quality life by encouraging them to practice independence.
- To work within a multidisciplinary team, practicing with and under the direction and supervision of the Registered and enrolled nurses in the provision of health and personal care in accordance with Arpad Aged Care's philosophy of care.
- To uphold best practice principles, contribute to and participate in Arpad Aged Care's continuous improvement.
- To Successfully implement interventions as per residents' care plans.
- Timely and accurate reporting of resident needs wants, and changes in condition.
- Participation in the development and review of existing procedures relating to personal care practices
- Active contribution to the achievement of team objectives
- Reporting of incidents regarding resident and staff safety
- Prompt, sufficient resolution of issues related to Personal Care




- Maintenance of resident confidentially and privacy

What we need from you:

- Availability for a minimum of 3 shifts/week. Must be available weekdays and weekends
- Certificate 3 in Aged Care/Community Care, Disability or Individual Support and have studied the personal support needs module
- A current First Aid & CPR certificate
- Valid working rights in Australia
- Police Check
