Job Title: Full-Time Chef/Cook

Location: Imperial Hotel Coonabarabran, 70 John St, Coonabarabran NSW 2357

Salary: AUD 75,000- AUD 85,000

Full Time Position; Approximately 38 hours per week.

We are currently seeking a skilled Chef or Cook to join our dynamic team at Imperial Hotel

Coonabarabran, located at Coonabarabran, NSW, 2357. The ideal candidate will have experience in

the culinary industry and possess a passion for delivering delicious and high-quality dishes. This role

involves a range of responsibilities centered around food preparation, cooking, and presentation.

Key Responsibilities:

 Preparing and cooking food

 Planning menus, estimating food and labour costs, and ordering food supplies

 Monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation

 Discussing food preparation issues with Managers, Dietitians and kitchen and waiting staff

 Demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures

 Explaining and enforcing hygiene regulations

 Select and train staff

 Freeze and preserve foods





Qualifications and Skills:

A minimum of one years of culinary experience.

A minimum of Cert IV level qualification, diploma preferable.

Industry (Hotel/Motel) experience desirable.

Thorough understanding of health and safety standards in the kitchen, including food handling and

sanitation practices.

Proficient in culinary techniques and adept in operating kitchen equipment and tools.

Meticulous in food preparation and presentation, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality

dishes.

Capable of interpreting recipes and menu plans accurately and creatively.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-

oriented kitchen environment.

Good physical stamina, capable of working in a quick-paced kitchen and standing for long hours.
