The Manly Grill is looking for a confident, warm and hands-on Restaurant Manager to lead our front-of-house team. Located beachside in Manly, we are a busy restaurant with a strong local following and a welcoming atmosphere.
About the Role
As Restaurant Manager, you will oversee the daily operation of the restaurant and ensure our guests receive friendly, professional and attentive service.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading, training and motivating the front-of-house team
- Managing daily restaurant operations
- Creating staff rosters and coordinating service
- Maintaining high standards of customer service
- Handling guest enquiries and resolving concerns professionally
- Managing reservations, functions and busy service periods
- Monitoring stock, ordering and cost controls
- Ensuring the restaurant meets food safety, licensing and workplace requirements
- Working closely with the kitchen and senior management team
- Helping to build a positive,
supportive and enjoyable workplace culture
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience managing a busy restaurant
- Is a confident and supportive team leader
- Has excellent communication and customer-service skills
- Remains calm and organised during busy services
- Has strong knowledge of restaurant operations
- Understands rostering, labour management and cost control
- Takes pride in presentation and attention to detail
- Holds a current NSW RSA certificate
- Is available to work a flexible roster, including evenings, weekends and public holidays
