Experienced powder coater wanted – join a skilled 2-person team producing quality aluminium products for a trusted Brisbane manufacturer.
Franklyn Blinds, Awnings & Security is looking for a reliable Powder Coater to join our Rochedale manufacturing team.
This is a hands-on role where you will be involved in the full powder coating process — from preparing aluminium extrusions through to producing a finished product ready for our customers.
Working as part of a small team, you will have variety in your day and take ownership of ensuring our products leave the factory looking their best.
What you’ll be doing
- Pre-treating aluminium extrusions ready for powder coating
- Powder coating aluminium products to required specifications
- Rotating between pre-treatment and powder coating tasks
- Inspecting finished products for quality and consistency
- Applying protective film to completed products (a critical part of maintaining product quality)
- Maintaining powder coating equipment and work areas
- Following workplace health and safety procedures
- Working closely with your team member to achieve production requirements
What we’re looking for
We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work and understands that quality matters.
You will need:
- Previous powder coating experience (essential)
- Experience working with aluminium products preferred
- Good attention to detail and quality control
- Ability to follow processes and work instructions
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Ability to work as part of a small, close-working team
- Current driver’s licence and reliable vehicle (essential)
- Ability to reliably commute to Rochedale every day
Experience with pre-treatment processes, protective film application, or aluminium extrusion products will be highly regarded.

- $33.94 per hour casual starting rate
- Opportunity to move into permanent full time employment after 3–6 months based on performance
- Monday to Friday day shift
