About us
Workforce Capability and Cultural Reform (WCCR) team supports the Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner, Workforce and Aboriginal Outcomes to lead reform across the prison system to uplift workforce capability and deliver key initiatives committed to in Corrections Victoria's Prison Workforce Strategy.
The Prisons Learning and Capability team within WCCR is responsible for delivering prison officer pre-service training, ongoing training for prison staff at all levels and leadership development programs. The team is also responsible for supporting the delivery of registered training organisation related services and specialised learning reform projects to support capability uplift for the prison workforce.
What you will do
As project support officer, learning and capability, you will support the delivery of prison officer pre-service training and learning programs.
You will help keep projects on track through planning, reporting, administration and coordination.
You will:
- provide timely administrative support across training programs and daily team activities
- maintain accurate records, training information and data using department systems
- prepare clear reports, dashboards, presentations and scheduling information
- coordinate essential resources, procurement and supplier activities to support training delivery
- respond to enquiries and provide helpful advice while supporting projects and continuous improvement.
About you
You must hold a current Victorian driver's licence. Experience using learning management systems, such as Nexus or a similar system,
will be highly regarded.
You should also have:
- strong Microsoft 365 skills, especially in Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and SharePoint
- the ability to prepare accurate reports, dashboards and data while maintaining high attention to detail
- well-developed communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships
- a flexible approach with strong organisation skills and the ability to manage changing priorities.
