Overview (Text Only): Are you an accounting professional with payroll experience looking for your next opportunity? Foot Locker Asia Pacific is seeking a Payroll Accountant to join our team on a fixed-term contract until July 2027 for a leave cover. In this role, you will be responsible for recording payroll-related activities in the General Ledger, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining reconciled accounts. You’ll also support wage budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and analysis. Responsibilities:

- Manage month-end and year-end payroll closing activities and accruals
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations for payroll accounts
- Deliver wage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Provide KPI reporting and payroll insights to business stakeholders
- Calculate and reconcile bonus payments and wage-related costs
- Support audits and ensure compliance with SOX and internal controls
- Partner with HR, FP&A;, Payroll Operations, and other teams on payroll matters
- Identify process improvements and efficiency opportunities





Qualifications:
- 3–5 years' experience in accounting, management accounting, financial analysis, or a similar role
- Experience with payroll accounting, wage reconciliations, workforce cost analysis, and payroll-related financial reporting
- Understanding of payroll data and how it impacts financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and accounting outcomes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience handling large data sets
- Advanced Excel skills
- Highly organised, proactive, and detail-oriented
- Solid communication skills and a collaborative mindset
