ABOUT THE POSITION

Job Title: Electrical Engineer

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Location: Midvale, WA, 6056

Annual Salary: $85,000 to $90,000

Position Description

As an Electrical Engineer at Electrical Drive Solutions Pty Ltd, you will be managing the full project lifecycle from initial design and technical documentation to hands-on commissioning and maintenance. You should be skilled in developing precise schematics, single-line diagrams and electrical calculations,



while ensuring all designs meet rigorous safety standards and client specifications. Lastly, you should also be technically proficient in troubleshooting and maintaining critical infrastructure, including PLCs, variable speed drives, protection relays and IP-based telemetry systems to ensure peak operational performance.

Key Responsibilities

· Prepare and study technical ddrawings, specifications of electrical systems to ensure that design, installation and operation within full project scope conforms to standards and customer requirements.

· Develop single lines and schematics, cable schedule generation and reviews, cable routing, earthing and electrical calculations for projects.

· Work with the Engineering Manager to review and refine work practices and bring improved efficiencies in design, construction methods and material usage.

· Maintains, troubleshoot and commissioning of electrical/controls/communication equipment such as circuit breakers, protection relays, variable speed drive, programmable logic controller, IP-based system and including telemetry

Skills & Experience

· At least three years of relevant experience in the electrical industry

· Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering

· Qualified Membership with Engineers Australia
