About the Role

As a Motor Mechanic at Nepean Auto Work Pty Ltd, you will be responsible for carrying out servicing, diagnostics, maintenance and repairs on a variety of passenger and light commercial vehicles. Working as part of a professional and supportive team, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality workmanship while ensuring vehicle safety, reliability and customer satisfaction.

Key Duties

- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using manual methods and computerised diagnostic tools.
- Dismantle and remove engines, transmissions, and other components to inspect for damage or wear.
- Repair and replace worn or faulty parts following service manuals and manufacturer guidelines.
- Reassemble mechanical systems and components after repairs to restore proper function.
- Perform scheduled maintenance services, including oil changes, lubrications,



and tune-ups.
- Test and adjust repaired components to ensure proper vehicle performance.
- Use diagnostic equipment to interpret fault codes and resolve system issues.
- Follow service manuals and technical specs for all repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Inspect vehicles for roadworthiness and identify any required repairs.
- Maintain accurate service records for all work performed.

Key Requirements

- Australian citizens and permanent residents are encouraged to apply.
- Qualifications: Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology (minimum requirement)
- Qualifications: Certificate IV in Automotive Mechanical Diagnosis (highly regarded / preferred)
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year as a motor mechanic.
- Solid diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in using mechanical tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent attention to detail and time management.

Annual Salary - AUD 80000 plus superannuation

Job Type - Full Time ( 38 Hours per week)
