About the role:
We are seeking an experienced Disability Home Care Worker with experience in supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities and challenging behaviors. In this role, you will provide support to a female in a team environment, encouraging her to lead an independent and fulfilling life. You will be responsible for following PBS and sleepover shifts are required in this role. If you only have experience in the Aged Care Sector, you will not be qualified, so please do not apply. We are looking for two new vibrant team members to join us.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide support to clients with disabilities in a manner that promotes their independence, dignity, and respect.
- Assist clients with daily tasks such as personal care, meal preparation, and transportation.
- Encourage and support clients to pursue their goals and interests, such as education and employment.
- Foster positive relationships with clients, their families, and other stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client support and progress.
- Adhere to all NDIS quality and safety standards.
- Requirements:
- Experience working as a Disability Support Worker or a similar role.
- Knowledge of the NDIS and its requirements.
- Compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach to supporting individuals with disabilities.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Police check
- NDIS Worker Screening clearance
- Current driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.
