Synergie Australia is seeking a Procurement Officer for a trusted Local Government client located in the Northern Rivers region of NSW.

The important parts:

- Pay: $40-46 per hour + Super | Duration: 12-month contract (potential for extension)
- Hours: Monday–Friday | 35 hrs per week

What you will be required to do:

You'll play a key role in maintaining a coordinated and compliant procurement function, ensuring the delivery of goods and services that support Council operations and community services.

- Ensure procurement activities comply with Council policies, procedures and legislative requirements.
- Coordinate stocktakes and maintain inventory accuracy through TechOne.
- Liaise with procurement bodies to achieve cost efficiencies, sustainability outcomes and reduced risk.
- Deliver procurement training and guidance to Council staff.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across procurement and stores operations.
- Support safe and efficient operations across Council depots.
- Maintain stock levels and ensure supply continuity, including during emergency and disaster response periods.

To be successful in the role you will:

- Hold a Certificate IV in Procurement or have equivalent industry experience.
- Have at least 4 years' experience in procurement, purchasing or a similar environment.
- Possess strong knowledge of procurement processes, compliance and supplier management.




- Have excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Demonstrate strong organisational, prioritisation and problem-solving abilities.
- Hold a current Class C Driver Licence.
- Local Government procurement experience will be highly regarded.
