Purpose of the position

- Producing Finished products according to preapproved instructions;
- to ensure that products are produced and stored according to the appropriate documentation in order to obtain the required quality;
- to follow the instructions relating to production operations and to ensure their strict implementation;
- Reviewing all production batch records and ensuring that these packaging processes are completed and signed;
- Making sure that production facilities are clean and when appropriate disinfected;
- Making sure that the necessary calibrations are performed and records kept;
- Making sure that the premises and equipment are maintained.

- Observe machine operations to ensure quality and conformity of filled or packaged products to standards.
- Tend or operate machine that packages product.
- Remove finished packaged items from machine and separate rejected items.
- Regulate machine flow, speed, or temperature.
- Stop or reset machines when malfunctions occur, transparent machine jams, and report malfunctions to a supervisor.




- Inspect and remove defective products and packaging material.
- Sort, weigh and inspect products, verifying and adjusting product weight to meet specifications.
- Clean and make minor adjustments or repairs to machinery and equipment, such as setting guides.
- Monitor the production line, watching for problems such as pile-ups, jams, or glue that isn't sticking properly.
- Stack finished packaged items, or wrap protective material around each item and pack the items in cartons or containers.
- Start machine by engaging controls.
- Count and record finished and rejected packaged items.
- Package the product in the form in which it will be sent out, for example, filling containers with powder from a chute.
- Supply materials to spindles, conveyors, hoppers, or other feeding devices and unload packaged product.
- Attach identification labels to finished packaged items.
- Clean packaging containers, line and pad crates, and/or assemble cartons to prepare for product packing.
