About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Civil Engineering Draftsperson to join our team at Engineering On Demand in Perth, Western Australia. You will play a crucial role in our structural, civil, and architectural design and drafting process, contributing to the delivery of high-quality projects across residential, commercial, industrial, and mining sectors.

What You'll Be Doing

- Preparing detailed structural and civil drawings using AutoCAD, including plans, elevations, sections, and construction details for residential, commercial, industrial, and non-habitable structure projects
- Preparing architectural drawings and plans for submission to WA local councils as part of building approval applications
- Producing fabrication drawings for structural steelwork, including steel framing and connection details
- Assisting with the development of design concepts and incorporating client feedback into revised documentation
- Collaborating with the design team to ensure all drawings adhere to relevant building codes, Australian Standards, and the National Construction Code
- Providing technical support and advice to engineers and other team members throughout the design and documentation process
- Maintaining accurate records and project documentation across all project phases
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of our design and drafting processes

What We're Looking For





- Advanced Diploma or Diploma of Civil Construction Design, or relevant tertiary qualification in architectural drafting, engineering, or a related field
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a structural, civil, or architectural drafting role (architectural drafting experience preferred)
- Proficient in AutoCAD (mandatory); experience with Revit or SketchUp is advantageous
- Experience preparing drawings for council approval submissions is highly regarded
- Understanding of building codes, regulations, and design standards
- Strong technical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cooperative team
