About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced and compassionate Female Disability Support Worker to join our team on a casual basis. The successful candidate will work varied shift with opportunities for additional shifts if desired. You will be providing personalized support to an individual with disability to maintain independence and enhance the quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care, including assistance with dressing, bathing, and meal preparation.
- Support clients in managing their health and wellbeing
- Assist clients with shopping and transport to and from medical appointments.
- Engage in recreational and social activities to promote client's independence.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and communicate effectively with team members and family.
- Participate in overnight shifts, ensuring client needs are attended to promptly.
Requirements:
- Minimum Certificate III in Disability Support or related field.
- Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities.
- Proficient in verbal and written communication in English and also possess the skillset to fill up doctor's or GP's form when required.
- Female applicant required due to personal care nature of the role.
- A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle with comprehensive insurance are the must.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to be flexible with working hours and shift patterns.
- Possesses a valid ABN
