We are seeking a reliable, hardworking and ambitious Yard Labourer & Reo Machine Operator to join our growing reinforcing steel manufacturing team in Ingleburn.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys physical work, is mechanically minded, and is keen to develop skills operating specialised steel processing machinery. Full training will be provided to the right person with a positive attitude.
About the Role
Working within our production yard, you will assist in manufacturing reinforcing steel products while ensuring quality, safety and efficient production.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor coil-fed reo bending and shape-forming machines
- Program machinery to produce reinforcing steel products to required specifications
- Manufacture stirrups and other reinforcing products from steel coil
- Perform quality checks to ensure products meet production standards
- Conduct daily pre-start inspections and basic machine maintenance
- Load and unload steel materials safely
- Assemble reinforcing steel products and components
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe work environment
- Assist with stock control and inventory checks
- Support the production team with general yard duties as required
About You
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
- Reliable, punctual and willing to learn
- Positive attitude with strong work ethic
- Able to work safely in a manufacturing or warehouse environment
- Mechanically minded or experienced operating machinery (preferred but not essential)
- Forklift Licence is advantageous but not essential
Language Requirement
This position requires the ability to communicate in Mandarin and/or Cantonese, as you will be working closely with a predominantly Chinese-speaking production team.
