PRIMARY OBJECTIVE
Carry out routine operation, maintenance and servicing of water and wastewater systems in Alice Springs and provide support throughout the
Northern Territory as required.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The “WHAT” to be delivered
Functional
• Safely perform operation, maintenance, repair and replacement tasks on water and wastewater assets.
- Assess asset condition to support reliable system performance.
- Record all required work and asset information in approved systems for work order completion.
- Work professionally and in line with Power and Water procedures, including Confined Space, SCBA, and facial hair compliance requirements.
- Provide a high level of customer service through direct interaction, fostering positive relationships to represent the obligations of Power and
Water.
- Participate in an on‑call roster to respond to after‑hours faults.
- Contribute as an active team member, rotating through water and sewer roles to support technical development.
- Provide operational support to other regions across the Northern Territory as needed, including travel to minor centres and remote locations
when required.

SELECTION CRITERIA
Qualification and Skills Experience
Essential • An AQF Certificate lll in Water or Wastewater Operations or • Demonstrated experience in the operation and
relevant Trade Qualification with equivalent skills and maintenance of water and wastewater treatment and
