About the Role

The Quality and Deployment Lead will lead and coordinate quality assurance, release management, deployment planning, and operational readiness activities across a portfolio of ICT initiatives supporting the NTPF Digital Transformation Program and the NT Worker Screening Reform Program. The position will work closely with project managers, technical teams, vendors, business stakeholders, and support teams to ensure successful delivery and deployment of technology solutions.

You will establish and maintain quality and deployment frameworks, coordinate releases, manage deployment schedules, facilitate readiness assessments, and ensure solutions are delivered to agreed quality standards and governance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead quality assurance, release management, and deployment activities across multiple ICT initiatives.

- Establish and maintain quality management, release management, and deployment frameworks, standards, and processes.

- Coordinate release schedules and deployment plans aligned with project objectives.

- Manage testing, quality assurance, operational readiness, and go-live activities.

- Coordinate stakeholders including project teams, vendors, technical resources, and business representatives.

- Ensure solutions meet quality, compliance, governance, and operational readiness requirements before production deployment.

- Identify, manage, and escalate risks, issues, dependencies, and change impacts.

- Develop deployment runbooks, release documentation, quality metrics, and reporting artefacts.

- Facilitate readiness assessments, production releases, and post-deployment reviews.

- Drive continuous improvement across QA, testing,



release, and deployment practices.

- Provide executive-level reporting on deployment readiness, release status, quality outcomes, and associated risks.

Requirements

Essential Skills and Experience

- Tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Project Management, or a related discipline.

- Demonstrated experience in:
- Quality Assurance Management

- Release Management

- Deployment Management

- ICT Project Delivery

- Strong understanding of:

- Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)

- Testing methodologies

- Change management

- Deployment practices

- Proven experience coordinating releases and deployments within complex ICT environments.

- Experience designing and implementing QA, release, and deployment standards and frameworks.

- Solid stakeholder management and vendor coordination skills.

- Experience with risk, issue, dependency, and change management.

- Hands-on experience with tools such as:

- Azure DevOps

- Jira

- ServiceNow

- Similar project and release management platforms

- Strong analytical, planning, organisational, and problem-solving capabilities.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Experience preparing governance papers, executive reports, and status reporting.

Desirable Experience

- Delivery of ICT programs within government or regulated environments.

- Experience with large-scale integration and multi-system environments.

- Knowledge of Agile, DevOps, and ITIL methodologies.

- Experience supporting operational readiness, business transition, and production deployment activities.
