Geelong Safety Rail and Scaffolding is a family-owned business providing quality safety rail, scaffold and working-at-heights solutions across Geelong and surrounding areas. Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Leading Hand Scaffolder to join our team.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you will lead a small crew, ensuring scaffold systems are erected and dismantled safely, efficiently and to the highest standard. We are looking for someone with strong leadership skills, excellent scaffolding knowledge and a positive, can-do attitude.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a small scaffolding team on-site.
- Safely erect, modify and dismantle scaffold systems.
- Ensure all work is completed to a high standard of safety and quality.
- Lead by example and promote a strong safety culture.
- Maintain clear communication with team members, supervisors and management.
- Complete work efficiently while meeting project deadlines.
- Ensure compliance with all Workplace Health and Safety requirements.
- Assist with loading, unloading and maintaining scaffold equipment as required.
Essential Requirements
- Current Basic Scaffolding High Risk Work Licence (SB) as a minimum.
- Current Working at Heights certification.
- Valid White Card.
- Current Driver's Licence.
- Own scaffolding tools.
- Smartphone for work communication.
- Previous experience leading a scaffolding crew or the ability to step into a leadership role.
- Robust work ethic, reliability and excellent communication skills.
- Immediate start.
- Casual position with the opportunity to transition to a permanent full-time role for the right candidate.
- Monday to Friday work starting at 7am.
- Overtime and occasional Saturday work available at penalty rates.
