Details: Procurement ACT is seeking a highly motivated and experienced policy professional to join our Policy team as the Senior Director of the Procurement Policy team.

The Procurement Policy team is responsible for managing and developing legislation and policies that underpin the ACT Government’s procurement framework ensuring it is aligned to the needs of the Territory.

In this role, you will work within the Policy and Capability Branch which has responsibility for ensuring procurement policy is consistent with government priorities and community expectations and delivers best practice outcomes. The Branch is responsible for uplifting procurement capability through training, guidance and templates to support procurement practices across government.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with high-level expertise in understanding complex policy environments, with competing stakeholder priorities. This would include experience strong liaison and stakeholder relationship skills, the ability to exercise initiative, sound judgement, and critical thinking and analysis to current and future policy in a government setting.

Eligibility/Other requirements: Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or five + years’ experience working in the fields of procurement, policy, law and/ or data analysis are highly desirable but not mandatory.

Notes: Selection method: Selection may be based on application and referee reports only. A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months. This position will be moving to a new workplace designed for activity-based working (ABW). Under ABW arrangements, officers will not have a designated workstation/desk.
