As a Shift Supervisor at our restaurant in Ivanhoe, Victoria, you will play a crucial role in overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, and leading a team of crew members. This permanent, full-time position works on a rotating roster, Monday to Sunday, between the hours of 8.30am and 11pm. It will suit applicants that have a passion for cooking food and developing a career in the casual dining setting.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare, cook and serve food according to company SOPs.
- Clean and maintain restaurant areas, machinery and equipment.
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the crew members during shifts.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations.
- Provide training and support to new team members, fostering a culture of teamwork and collaboration.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with stock management.
- Confidently handle customer inquiries and resolve issues to maintain high customer satisfaction.
- Prepare shift reports, documenting sales and operational performance.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a shift supervisor within the retail and hospitality industries.
- Experience in casual dining or QSR preferred.
- Strong work ethic with a committment to 8-10 hour shifts (morning or evening).
- Ability to demonstrate a proactive mindset in day to day operations.
- Fluent in English with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with customers and staff.
- Basic understanding of the Fast Food Industry Award.
- Basic understanding of inventory management and a solid organisational mindset.
- Committed to a 6 month probation period.
- Physically fit and able to work for long periods of time standing.
