About the role

Join the Eating Disorders & Neuropsychiatry team at The Royal Melbourne Hospital as a Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN2), providing specialist, recovery-focused care to adults experiencing complex mental health needs.

Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will deliver evidence-based nursing care that supports physical and psychological wellbeing, recovery goals, and positive patient outcomes.

This role offers the opportunity to further develop your clinical skills within two highly specialised services — the Eating Disorders Service, providing tertiary inpatient and outpatient care, and the Neuropsychiatry Unit, delivering state-wide assessment, diagnostic and treatment services for patients with complex presentations across psychiatry, neurology and general medicine.

Key Accountabilities





Support the ANUM in the delivery of evidence-based practice and person-centred care
Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver holistic, recovery-focused treatment
Engage in ongoing professional development and clinical skills enhancement
Work within a supportive environment, offering mentorship and educational opportunities
Contribute to high-quality care in a dynamic, specialized mental health service

About You

Registration as a registered nurse under the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation National Law Act (2009) with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
Bachelor Degree in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing or equivalent, or Bachelor Degree in Nursing plus a Postgraduate qualification in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing (Desirable)
Experience in mental health inpatient settings
You enjoy being part of a dynamic team yet are confident to work autonomously and assume leadership
A commitment to patient-centred care, safety, and continuous improvement
You enjoy working within a collaborative, multidisciplinary team.
