We’re looking for an experienced, values driven, and highly motivated Foster Care Recruitment Coordinator to lead and support our recruitment efforts. In this role, you’ll play a pivotal part in building the program in Perth and the Pilbara, finding, developing, and supporting foster carers, ensuring children and young people have access to safe, stable, and trauma-informed care.

In this role, you’ll:

- Lead and support the Foster Care Engagement Officer through coaching,



supervision, and development
- Oversee the end-to-end recruitment process including screening, assessment, training, and approval of carers
- Work closely with Community Engagement teams to attract and inspire prospective foster carers
- Build strong partnerships with the Department of Communities (Child Protection) and key stakeholders
- Coordinate and support external assessors in line with accreditation processes
- Ensure accurate data management across internal systems and reporting requirements
- Complete carer assessments and facilitate training where required
- Champion trauma informed practice and the Sanctuary Model across all aspects of the program
- Travel regularly across Perth Metro area and when required to the Pilbara region

We are recruiting a Carer Recruitment and Development Coordinator based across the Perth Metro and Pilbara region, with regular travel required. The role sits within the WA Carer Recruitment and Development program and reports to the WA/NT Area Manager.

This is a full time position with flexibility required, including occasional evenings and weekends.

Key Selection Criteria:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- A relevant tertiary qualification in social work, community services, marketing, public relations, or similar
- Demonstrated experience in leadership and team management
- Experience in carer recruitment, assessment, training, or community engagement




- Experience delivering training or group facilitation
- Strong administrative and reporting capabilities
- The ability to build meaningful relationships with diverse communities and stakeholders
- A commitment to children’s safety, wellbeing, and cultural respect
- Knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal culture and the issues faced by Aboriginal children and families
