About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced Maintenance Fitter/Fabricator to join our QLD Paper Site. In this hands‑on role, you’ll keep our fast‑paced FMCG operation running smoothly by ensuring equipment is safe, reliable, and performing at its best. You’ll play a key part in preventative maintenance, fast breakdown response, and ongoing site improvements.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform routine and preventative maintenance across all machinery

- Troubleshoot faults and respond quickly to breakdowns

- Install mechanical components, upgrades, and system improvements

- Manage and maintain the spare parts inventory





- Follow all WHS and site safety requirements

- Support a clean, secure, and compliant work environment

Skills & Experience

- Mechanical Trade qualification, or an engineering–fabrication trade qualification would also be considered

- Demonstrated experience as a Maintenance Fitter

- TIG/MIG welding skills (essential)
- FMCG/manufacturing experience is highly advantageous

- Packing and Pelleting machinery knowledge (preferred)

- Ability to fabricate components without engineered drawings

- Strong problem‑solving and communication skills

- Ability to work independently and manage priorities

- A proactive, improvement‑focused mindset
