Baker's Assistant (Part-Time or Casual) – Bakers Delight Wellington Village

Bakers Delight Wellington Village is seeking a motivated and reliable Baker's Assistant to support our baking team in producing the high-quality breads and baked goods our customers love.
This is a hands-on food production role that would suit someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in producing quality food products.
About the role
Working alongside our qualified bakers, you will assist with a variety of bakery production tasks including:
- Preparing ingredients and products for baking
- Assisting with bread production and finishing
- Tray preparation and product handling
- Cleaning and maintaining bakery equipment
- Following food safety and hygiene procedures
- General bakery production duties as required
What we're looking for
- Reliable and punctual
- Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Physically capable of being on your feet for extended periods
- Able to work as part of a team
- Committed to maintaining high food safety standards
Food handling experience is highly regarded, particularly experience gained in:
- Bakeries
- Cafés and restaurants
- Food manufacturing
- Commercial kitchens
- Delicatessens or supermarkets
Hours of work
- Part time or casual position available
- Approximately 2–3 shifts per week
- Shifts are typically 8:00am to 1:00pm
- Monday to Sunday roster
- Some weekend availability is required, however most shifts will be worked M-F
