An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Structural Steel Detailer to lead the drafting department of a growing structural steel fabrication company based in Botany.

This is a long-term role for someone looking to do more than just drafting. The company is expanding and is seeking a professional who enjoys taking ownership, improving processes, mentoring others, and helping build a high-performing department.

Your responsabilities:

- Produce 3D models and shop drawings using TEKLA Structures and/or Autodesk Advance Steel.
- Prepare fabrication and construction documentation, including plans, elevations, sections and detailed drawings.
- Review project requirements, specifications and engineering documentation to ensure drawing accuracy and completeness.
- Attend site visits and take accurate measurements when required.




- Ensure all drawings comply with relevant Australian Standards, building codes and project specifications.
- Liaise with engineers, project managers, workshop team and clients to resolve technical issues and support project delivery.

You must have:

- At least 5 years’ experience in structural steel drafting.
- Robust understanding of structural steel fabrication and construction processes.
- Proficient English level, written and verbal.
- A White Card and Driver Licence.

Only Sydney-based applicants with full Australian working rights will be considered.

Pay: $72,000.00 – $105,000.00 per year
