We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Disability Support Worker to join our team at Journey Community Connections Coffs Harbour and Grafton NSW, this is a casual position, offering the flexibility to work around your schedule and commitments.
What you'll be doing
- Providing personalised support and assistance to clients with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and social engagement
- Helping clients access community resources and participate in recreational activities
- Advocating for client needs and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the best possible outcomes
- Adhering to all relevant policies, procedures, and legislative requirements to maintain a safe and compliant service setting
- Actively contributing to the continuous improvement of our services through feedback and innovation
What we're looking for
- Certificate 3 Individual Support qualifications or Higher Desirable 3+ Years experience in the aged care, disability support sector.
- A genuine passion for making a positive difference in the lives of others
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients
- Problem-solving skills and the flexibility to adapt to the changing needs of our clients
- First Aid/CPR
- NDISWC
- WWCC
- A valid driver's licence, Comprehensive Car insurance and access to reliable transportation
