About the Role:
Job Summary
Basketball Coach - Casual
Day & Time: Must be available to work Thursdays from 12:20 - 2:00 pm
Date Commencing: July 2026
Location: Fairfield
Responsibilities and Duties
Teach the fundamental skills, rules and tactics of Basketball and facilitate activities and modified games to a recreational group.
Position Characteristics:
High energy coach that can engage and motivate teenage students. The successful coach will also be able to plan creative sessions and be able to adjust to the needs of the group.
Pay: Pay is dependent on Qualifications and experience
Qualifications and Skills
Essential Criteria: Must be available for the School Term
Must have a Working with Children Check Clearance number.
Experience Needed: 1-2 years of playing Competitive Basketball OR full training will be provided for the right candidates who show initiative, enthusiasm and capability to learn.
Qualifications Needed: The successful candidate will be required to complete the free online coaching and officiating courses:
(1) The Community Coaching General Principles
(2) The Community Officiating General Principles.
Other Desirable Criteria:
-First Aid
-Drivers Licence
-Coaching Accreditations such as a Level 1 or 2
