As part of the Patties Food Group, our Salisbury South facility (formerly Australian Whole Foods) has been producing premium quiches, pies and ready meals for the FMCG industry since 2010. To continue delivering quality products to Australian households, we are looking for an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join our team.
The Role
Reporting to the Reliability Manager, you will play a key role in maintaining and improving plant equipment to support safe, efficient and reliable production. This hands-on role involves both breakdown response and preventative maintenance across a range of manufacturing equipment.
Your main duties and responsibilities will include but not be limited to;
- Perform maintenance, repairs and installations on industrial manufacturing equipment
- Diagnose and resolve faults on hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical systems
- Conduct preventative and breakdown maintenance to minimise downtime
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant performance
- Complete fabrication, repair work and maintenance documentation
- Use maintenance management software and computer systems effectively
- Ensure equipment reliability to meet production targets
About the Person
To be successful in this role, you will be a proactive and hands-on Maintenance Fitter with a strong focus on safety, reliability and continuous improvement. You thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, enjoy solving technical problems, and take pride in keeping equipment running at peak performance.
- Certificate III in a Mechanical Trade
- Valid South Australian Driver's Licence
- Proven maintenance experience within FMCG or food manufacturing environments
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- TIG and Arc welding knowledge
- Good computer literacy and attention to detail
- Flexibility to work shifts
