About the Role

As a Dangerous Goods Driver, you'll be responsible for operating various light and heavy vehicles, industrial cleaning equipment and supporting shutdowns, turnarounds, and maintenance programs in a high-risk, high-reward industrial setting.

All successful candidates will be based in Moomba and will be required to work either independently or as part of a team across all areas of the Cooper Basin.

The Cooper Basin region covers approximately 130,000 km² (around twice the size of Tasmania), with travel times to work sites ranging from one to ten hours. This role requires a high level of self-sufficiency and the ability to operate safely in remote conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

- Operate heavy vehicles (HR/HC/MC), recording work and rest hours in accordance with NHVR requirements using a paper or electronic work diary
- Transport Level 3 dangerous goods, including crude oil, condensate, and other flammable or combustible liquids
- Operate light vehicles and light vehicle trailers
- Perform general vacuum truck operations, i.e. sumps, pits, well sites, pond skimming
- Undertake general high-pressure water work, including flex lancing, tank head operation, and limited gun work, i.e. cooler tubes, heat exchangers, tanks and smaller vessels.
- Confined space work, including standby duties, entry and work, gas testing, confined space rescue, working in accordance with permits, and operation of breathing apparatus
- Carry out yard duties, including manual labour and operation of skid steer and forklift (where licensed)
- Work autonomously in remote locations
- Submit daily timesheets and job documentation
- Ability to work in a remote, arid,



and hot environment for periods of up to two weeks at a time (summer temperatures may exceed 45°C)
- Maintain a high professional standard in the care and maintenance of hpw equipment, vac equipment, and vehicles

Essential Requirements (you must have ALL of the below to be considered):

- Current HR, HC, or MC Driver’s License
- Current Dangerous Goods Transport License
- Enter and Work in Confined Spaces RIIWHS202E (must be completed in the last two years to be current

- Current High Pressure Water Ticket – Preferably MSMSS00018, but will accept MSMSS00017

Desired Requirements (not essential):

- PUASAR022 Participate in a Rescue Operation (must be completed in the last two years to be current)
- PUASAR25 Undertake Confined Space Rescue (must be completed in the last two years to be current)
- MSMWHS216 Operate Breathing Apparatus (must be completed in the last two years to be current)
- HLTAID001 Provide Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (must be completed in the last twelve months to be current)
- RIIWHS204E Work Safely at Heights (must be completed in the last two years to be current)
- RIIVEH305F Operate and maintain a four-wheel drive vehicle
- RIIVEH201E Operate a Light Vehicle
- MSMPER202, MSMWHS217,



MSMPER200 Standby Person Skillset (must be completed in the last two years to be current)
- RIIWHS202E Enter and Work in Confined Spaces (must be completed in the last two years to be current)
- Santos Permit Holder Blue Card
- Current Elevated Work Platform (over 11meters) High Risk Work Licence
