The Unaccredited Trainee will be responsible for the needs of inpatients and outpatients and will provide appropriate care and services to secure optimal health outcomes. This unique position will work directly with and under the direction of VMOs to provide care for both public and private patients. This position will suit a candidate with demonstrated high level leadership and teamwork capabilities.
The Unaccredited Trainee will provide in-patient services including clinical assessments, ward consultations and provide management advice in emergency and elective setting. The Unaccredited Trainee will attend and assess patients in the Emergency Department and on the ward. The Unaccredited Trainee will provide operative care / assistance for patients in theatres during rostered hours and while on call. This role will provide significant scope for developing technical surgical skills in Urology.

Northern Beaches Hospital provides world-class, Level 5 delineation services for both public and private patients. The hospital features 486 beds, 50-bed Emergency Department, 20-bed general and cardiothoracic ICU, 14 fully equipped theatres, including hybrid theatres, two cardiac catheter labs, extensive digital imaging / diagnostic facilities, medical centre collocated with ED, state of the art education and interactive SIM centre and a Helipad for Emergency Transport.
The Northern Beaches Hospital provides a high standard of education and training, with dedicated supervisors, teachers and a JMO Unit that supports all activities related to rostering, training, education and welfare of junior doctors.
On level 4 of the 9-storey hospital is the Education Centre where doctors can access a range of facilities. These include the latest technology for teaching, simulation and presentations, plus various meeting rooms and conference areas.
There is capability to stream education sessions to/from other facilities, as well as within the hospital for the simulation rooms and theatres.
