Margaret River Community Centre is looking for an Early Childhood Educator
(Child Care Worker) to join our exceptional team!

Margaret River Community Centre for Children is a family- and child-centred long day care centre, focusing on inclusivity and interculturalism. Staff provide top level care and a quality learning environment, with lots of community and nature-based interactions. Operating from the Margaret River Community Centre, we are a not-for-profit centre. We are looking for a dedicated Educator to continue to provide high quality care and learning environments for children in our long daycare program. We pride ourselves on a positive work environment.

Candidates need to have relevant qualifications which meet the AQF or that ACECQA has assessed as equivalent to: Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (equivalent to AQF Certificate IV) with at least 1 year's experience.

Main duties for the Early Childhood Educator (Child Care Worker Non-Group Leader):

- Responsible, in consultation with the Coordinator, for the preparation, implementation and evaluation of a developmentally appropriate program for individual children or groups (including educational and recreational activities plus social development).




- Responsible to the Coordinator for the supervision of students on placement.
- Responsible for ensuring a safe environment is maintained for both staff and children.
- Responsible for ensuring that records are maintained accurately for each child in their care.
- Develop, implement and evaluate daily care routines (including hygiene of children).
- Ensure that the centre or service’s policies and procedures are adhered to.
- Liaise with families.

The role will be reporting to the Room Leader and the Coordinator.

This is a fulltime (38 hours/week) position.

Annual salary: $73,227 (which includes 17.5% loading on annual leave) plus superannuation, as per Children Services Award MA000120 Level 5 at $36.57 hourly pay rate

Note MRCC has signed up to is funded by the Australian Government worker retention payment (WRP), thus with WRP the annual salary is $76,379 inclusive of leave loading or $38.14 per hour
