We have a permanent full-time opportunity available for a Clinical Nurse supporting our clients within the Townsville region.
Your Role
As a Clinical Nurse you’ll be looking after the most important people in our organisation – our clients. You will provide advanced, evidence-based care within the community, applying specialist clinical knowledge to support complex care needs and improve client outcomes. You will also provide leadership, coordination and support to nursing and care teams while promoting a holistic, client-centred approach. Your tasks will include:
- Initial assessment of client needs and development, coordination and ongoing evaluation of care plans in consultation with clients, families and the multidisciplinary team
- Delivering holistic, client-centred care that respects individual needs, rights and lifestyle choices within the home setting
- Providing clinical leadership, guidance and support to Registered Nurses and care staff within the team
- Monitoring, evaluating and documenting client progress while ensuring compliance with professional, legal and organisational standards
- Administering and reviewing medications, treatments and clinical interventions including wound care, chronic disease management and palliative care
- Coordinating comprehensive care including early intervention, health promotion, referral and case management activities
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders, including allied health professionals and community partners, to support optimal client outcomes
- Maintaining accurate, timely documentation and contributing to continuous quality improvement and clinical program development initiatives

Role Requirements
- Proof of immunity, or willingness to become vaccinated against, Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR), Varicella (Chicken Pox) and Pertussis (Whooping Cough)
- Current National Police Check (with validity in the past 3 years) OR current (P) PAID NDIS Worker Clearance
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Current Queensland driver’s licence
- Current CPR Certificate
- Positive computer and mobile device skills
