What we're looking for

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:

Significant experience in management and leadership of mental health systems and processes for contemporary adult mental health services to undertake the role of Clinical Nurse Consultant of an acute mental health inpatient service.
Demonstrated expert level of contemporary clinical mental health knowledge, expertise, and skills in acute mental health clinical practice for people over the age of 18.
Demonstrated ability to provide authoritative counsel and clinical expertise as a member of the senior leadership team.




Ability to work collaboratively within a complex stakeholder and system framework with internal Queensland Health services including external government, non-government, and private health sector service providers to achieve the optimum outcomes for the client.
Demonstrated ability to provide effective clinical leadership in quality improvement, service evaluation and research initiatives
Understanding of contemporary human resource practices including workplace health and safety, employment equity and anti-discrimination.

Mandatory Requirements

Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration or membership with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (Ahpra).
