Wulguru Rail are seeking Electricians to join our Rollingstock Maintenance team on a full-time basis.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Maintain close working relationship with the Electrical Site Supervisor
- Install, connect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical components including wiring, conduits, panels, switches, light fixtures, circuits, switchboards, etc.
- Test systems for safety and continuity
- Interpret electrical plans
- Document work activities and follow Supervisor's directions
- Ensure work meets industry standards and deadlines
- Mentor apprentices
- Rotating three week shift work which includes day shift, on call shift and afternoon shift
Experience & Attributes:
- Current QLD Electricians Licence
- Additional certifications such as Senior First Aid, forklift, EWP, and White Card are desirable
- Solid knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations
- Written and verbal communication skills required
- Ability to read and understand electrical system schematics
