Head of Department – English (Years 7–12)

Arndell Anglican College is seeking an enthusiastic, experienced and passionate Head of Department - English (Years 7-12) to lead our English faculty and inspire a culture of excellence in teaching and learning, commencing Term 1 2027.

This is an exciting opportunity for an educational leader who is committed to fostering a love of literature, language and learning while driving academic achievement and innovation across the English curriculum. As a member of the Senior Academic Leadership Team, you will play a key role in shaping the academic, pastoral and spiritual life of the College.

Working closely with the Director of Curriculum 7-12, you will provide strategic leadership of the English faculty, supporting and developing staff, promoting evidence-informed teaching practices, and ensuring high-quality curriculum delivery across Years 7-12. You will model exemplary classroom practice, encourage innovation and collaboration, and use student achievement data to maximise learning outcomes for all students.

The successful applicant will be a person of integrity and professional credibility, committed to continuous improvement and passionate about nurturing students as confident communicators, critical thinkers and lifelong learners. Arndell Anglican College is seeking an enthusiastic and passionate Teacher Librarian (P-6) commencing Term 1 2027 to lead our Junior School Library as a vibrant centre for learning, research and reading. This is an exciting prospect for an educator who is committed to fostering curiosity, information literacy and a lifelong love of learning in young people.

Working closely with students and staff, you will guide and empower students to become confident users of information, enthusiastic readers, critical and creative thinkers,



skilled researchers and ethical users of a broad range of resources and media. You will play a key role in planning, developing and delivering the Junior School Library Studies and Information Skills curriculum for students from Prep to Year 6.

You will promote the library as a welcoming and engaging learning hub that supports literacy, digital citizenship and information literacy while partnering with teachers and Diverse Learning staff to enhance student outcomes.

Teacher Intern Program

The Intern Program is a school-based training program designed to build skills in a broad range of day-to-day school experiences, not ordinarily covered as part of university study or practicum experiences.
